Epiroc Serpent integrated with Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ is Ventilation on Demand
Events MCE | MCE
At Bauma 2019 Epiroc and Mobilaris is launching the integration between Serpent Ventilation and Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ (MMI), which helps to increase safety and health for operators and improves energy efficiency for an underground tunnel or mine site. MMI can monitor ventilation components and installation as well as control the airflow based on sensor monitoring. In case of deviation, alarm will be visible in Mobilaris MMI.
Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ let the presence of machines control the ventilation which is very fast to setup remotely and that works every time. By creating a MMI geofence in minutes defining the production area, the trigger condition, the triggered action and the presence of certain defined machines will control the ventilation.
Ventilation on Demand driven by MMI is already in place with the integration to the system 800xA from ABB. Boliden Kankberg mine, one of the mines using MMI and 800xA, reduced their energy cost for ventilation with 54%.
At Mobilaris, software is our focus and the approach is to provide openness. That’s why we integrate and inter-operate with multiple vendors of both systems and hardware to maximize customer value. Mobilaris Mining Intelligence™ also includes integration to mixed fleets and other intelligent equipment/process systems. And we keep adding more.
